Open Rate
We were really impressed with the Open Rate of this campaign. The open rate is the percentage of people who actually open and read the newsletter. At 41% it represents a fantastic percentage of people who opened the newsletter and is around 15 - 20% higher than the industry norm.
This shows the importance of maintaining a well managed subscription list that is aimed at people who want to hear about what you have to offer. Increasing Open Rates will be the focus of this months 'Newsletter Tips' section and can be found by clicking here...
Template Design
Zoe asked us to design a special Summer Template that would be bright and cheerful "using colours along the lines of Daffodils, Tulips, Montbretial and Fuchsia – all the flowers that grow well in Connemara in Spring and Summer."
Body
When writing your newsletter, be sure not to try and overload the reader with excessive information. Keep it short, sweet, and to the point. Focus only a few things, and learn to save some things for the next newsletter.
Here, Zoe has focused on Summer and Family breaks. Also included is a bonus recipe idea from their Head Chef Tim O'Sullivan. This is a fantastic idea as it adds excellent value to the email and can be easily replicated each month.
